The list of “first” verses for 2010 is available, now we need to find related bible verses until end of March 2009. Currently, the list is available only in German language (see in the German translation of this page). If you would like to join and need the verses in English language, please contact us.

We have the reference verses selected for 2009 (in the German bible edition Schlachter 2000, English Standard Version and some more).

For bible editions of the following languages (or any other language, we may need permission from the respective bible society first),

• Chinese (traditional)
• French (Segond 21)
• Italian (Nuova Riveduta 1994)
• Spanish (Dios Habla Hoy 1996)

we need to prepare the bible verses:

• edit the bible verses so that they contain the same verse parts as the reference text, and
• apply line breaking along meaningful units

Example:

He brought him to Jesus. Jesus looked at him and said, "So you are
Simon the son of John? You shall be called Cephas" (which means Peter).

Result:

Jesus looked at Peter and said,
"So you are Simon the son of John? 
You shall be called Cephas"
(which means Peter).
