Reina-Valera 1995

cada cual se apartó por su camino;
mas Jehová cargó en él
el pecado de todos nosotros.
7 Angustiado él, y afligido,
no abrió su boca;
como un cordero fue llevadoal matadero;
como una oveja delantede sus trasquiladores,
enmudeció, no abrió su boca.
8 Por medio de violencia y de juiciofue quitado;
Aunque nunca hizo maldad
ni hubo engaño en su boca,
10 Jehová quiso quebrantarlo,
sujetándolo a padecimiento.

—¿No respondes nada? ¿Qué testifican estos contra ti?

English Standard Version

He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth; like a lamb that is led to the slaughter.

Isaiah 53:7

The chief priests and the whole Council were seeking false testimony against Jesus that they might put him to death.

Matthew 26:59

Isaías 53 (English Standard Version)

4 Surely he has borne our griefs
and carried our sorrows;
yet we esteemed him stricken,
smitten by God, and afflicted.
5 But he was wounded for our transgressions;
he was crushed for our iniquities;
upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace,
and with his stripes we are healed.
6 All we like sheep have gone astray;
we have turned—every one—to his own way;
and the Lord has laid on him
the iniquity of us all.
7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted,
yet he opened not his mouth;
like a lamb that is led to the slaughter,
and like a sheep that before its shearers is silent,
so he opened not his mouth.
8 By oppression and judgment he was taken away;
and as for his generation, who considered
that he was cut off out of the land of the living,
stricken for the transgression of my people?
9 And they made his grave with the wicked
and with a rich man in his death,
although he had done no violence,
and there was no deceit in his mouth.
10 Yet it was the will of the Lord to crush him;
he has put him to grief;
when his soul makes an offering for guilt,
he shall see his offspring; he shall prolong his days;
the will of the Lord shall prosper in his hand.

Mateo 26 (English Standard Version)

56 But all this has taken place that the Scriptures of the prophets might be fulfilled.”
Then all the disciples left him and fled.
57 Then those who had seized Jesus led him to Caiaphas the high priest, where the scribes and the elders had gathered.
58 And Peter was following him at a distance, as far as the courtyard of the high priest, and going inside he sat with the guards to see the end.
59 Now the chief priests and the whole Council were seeking false testimony against Jesus that they might put him to death,
60 but they found none, though many false witnesses came forward. At last two came forward
61 and said, “This man said, ‘I am able to destroy the temple of God, and to rebuild it in three days.’”
62 And the high priest stood up and said, “Have you no answer to make? What is it that these men testify against you?”
