Bibelen (Det Danske Bibelselskab)

Lukas 12,25-26

1. Mosebog 49 (Bibelen (Det Danske Bibelselskab))

22 Josef er et ungt frugttræ,
et ungt frugttræ ved kilden,
dets grene vokser op ad muren.
23 Bueskytter tirrer ham,
de skyder og angriber ham;
24 men hans bue er fast og stærk,
hans hænder og arme er smidige.
Det kommer fra Jakobs Mægtige,
fra Hyrden, Israels Sten,
25 fra din fars Gud, han hjælpe dig,
fra Gud den Almægtige, han velsigne dig
med velsignelser fra himlen deroppe,
med velsignelser fra urdybet, der hviler dernede,
med velsignelser fra bryster og moderliv.
26 Din fars velsignelser overgår
de ældgamle bjerges velsignelser,
de evige højes herlighed.
De skal komme over Josefs hoved,
over issen på fyrsten blandt brødre.

Lukas 12 (Bibelen (Det Danske Bibelselskab))

English Standard Version

The God of your father will help you, the Almighty will bless you with blessings of heaven above.

Genesis 49:25

Jesus said to his disciples:

Which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life? If then you are not able to do as small a thing as that, why are you anxious about the rest?

Luke 12:25-26

1. Mosebog 49 (English Standard Version)

22 “Joseph is a fruitful bough,
a fruitful bough by a spring;
his branches run over the wall.
23 The archers bitterly attacked him,
shot at him, and harassed him severely,
24 yet his bow remained unmoved;
his arms were made agile
by the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob
(from there is the Shepherd, the Stone of Israel),
25 by the God of your father who will help you,
by the Almighty who will bless you
with blessings of heaven above,
blessings of the deep that crouches beneath,
blessings of the breasts and of the womb.
26 The blessings of your father
are mighty beyond the blessings of my parents,
up to the bounties of the everlasting hills.
May they be on the head of Joseph,
and on the brow of him who was set apart from his brothers.
27 “Benjamin is a ravenous wolf,
in the morning devouring the prey
and at evening dividing the spoil.”
28 All these are the twelve tribes of Israel. This is what their father said to them as he blessed them, blessing each with the blessing suitable to him.

Lukas 12 (English Standard Version)

22 And he said to his disciples,
“Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat, nor about your body, what you will put on.
23 For life is more than food, and the body more than clothing.
24 Consider the ravens: they neither sow nor reap, they have neither storehouse nor barn, and yet God feeds them. Of how much more value are you than the birds!
25 And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life?
26 If then you are not able to do as small a thing as that, why are you anxious about the rest?
27 Consider the lilies, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
28 But if God so clothes the grass, which is alive in the field today, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, how much more will he clothe you, O you of little faith!
29 And do not seek what you are to eat and what you are to drink, nor be worried.
