An Bíobla Naofa 1981

I mo luí dom ar mo leaba bím ag cuimhneamh ort, bím ag smaoineamh ort i dtráthanna na hoíche.

Salm 63:7

Má mhairim sa dorchadas is é an Tiarna féin mo sholas.

Míocá 7:8

Salm 63 (An Bíobla Naofa 1981)

4 De bhrí gur fearr ná an bheatha féin do bhuanghrá,
canfaidh mo bheola do mholadh.
5 Ar an ábhar sin beannóidh mé le mo bheo thú
agus ardóidh mé mo lámha i d’ainmse.
6 Líonfar m’anam mar a líonfaí le fleá é,
agus molfaidh mo bhéal le ríméad thú.
7 I mo luí dom ar mo leaba bím ag cuimhneamh ort,
bím ag smaoineamh ort i dtráthanna na hoíche;
8 óir ráinig tú i do chúntóir agam,
agus gairdím faoi scáth do sciathán.
9 Tá m’anam ag cloí go dlúth leat,
agus coinníonn do dheaslámh suas mé.
10 An dream atá ar tí m’anama chun a scriosta,
rachaidh siad síos i ndoimhneacht na talún.

Míocá 7 (An Bíobla Naofa 1981)

5 Ná cuirigí muinín as bhur gcomharsana;
ná téigí ar iontaoibh bhur gcairde.
Cosain doirse do bhéil ar do bhean chéile.
6 Óir tugann an mac easonóir dá athair
agus éiríonn an iníon suas in aghaidh a máthar
agus an banchliamhain in aghaidh máthar a céile
agus is lucht a theaghlaigh féin is naimhde do dhuine.
7 Ach i dtaca liom féin de is ar an Tiarna a bhím ag brath;
cuirim mo dhóchas i nDia mo Shlánaitheoir
agus éistfidh mo Dhia liom.
8 Ná bíodh lúcháir ort, a namhaid liom, mar gheall ormsa;
fiú má mhairim sa dorchadas is é an Tiarna féin mo sholas.
9 Caithfidh mé cur suas le fearg an Tiarna
– mar pheacaigh mé ina choinne –
go dtí go n-agraíonn sé mo chúis
agus go seasann sé ceart dom.
Treoróidh sé mé chun an tsolais
agus feicfidh mé na gníomhartha slánaitheacha a dhéanann sé.
10 Feicfidh mo namhaid é seo
agus déanfar ceap magaidh den té a dúirt liomsa:
“Cá bhfuil do Dhia?”
Bainfidh mé lán na súl aisti;
gabhfar de chosa inti anois
mar lathach na sráideanna.
11 Tá an lá a n-atógfar do bhallaí ag teacht;
an lá sin leathnófar do chríocha.

English Standard Version

I remember you upon my bed, and meditate on you in the watches of the night.

Psalm 63:6

When I sit in darkness, the Lord will be a light to me.

Micah 7:8

Salm 63 (English Standard Version)

3 Because your steadfast love is better than life,
my lips will praise you.
4 So I will bless you as long as I live;
in your name I will lift up my hands.
5 My soul will be satisfied as with fat and rich food,
and my mouth will praise you with joyful lips,
6 when I remember you upon my bed,
and meditate on you in the watches of the night;
7 for you have been my help,
and in the shadow of your wings I will sing for joy.
8 My soul clings to you;
your right hand upholds me.
9 But those who seek to destroy my life
shall go down into the depths of the earth;

Míocá 7 (English Standard Version)

5 Put no trust in a neighbor;
have no confidence in a friend;
guard the doors of your mouth
from her who lies in your arms;
6 for the son treats the father with contempt,
the daughter rises up against her mother,
the daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law;
a man's enemies are the men of his own house.
7 But as for me, I will look to the Lord;
I will wait for the God of my salvation;
my God will hear me.
8 Rejoice not over me, O my enemy;
when I fall, I shall rise;
when I sit in darkness,
the Lord will be a light to me.
9 I will bear the indignation of the Lord
because I have sinned against him,
until he pleads my cause
and executes judgment for me.
He will bring me out to the light;
I shall look upon his vindication.
10 Then my enemy will see,
and shame will cover her who said to me,
“Where is the Lord your God?”
My eyes will look upon her;
now she will be trampled down
like the mire of the streets.
11 A day for the building of your walls!
In that day the boundary shall be far extended.
