Salm 147:15

Gníomhartha 6 (An Bíobla Naofa 1981)

4 Agus leanfaimidne den urnaí agus de sheirbhís an bhriathair.”
5 Bhí an slua iomlán sásta leis an moladh sin agus roghnaigh siad na daoine seo a leanas: Stiofán, fear a bhí lán de chreideamh agus den Spiorad Naomh, Pilib agus Prochonór, Níocanór agus Tiomón, Parmanas agus Nioclás, léivíteach ó Aintíoch.
6 Thug siad i láthair na n-aspal iad, agus tar éis dóibh sin urnaí a dhéanamh leag siad a lámha orthu.
7 De réir mar a leath briathar Dé, chuaigh líon na ndeisceabal in Iarúsailéim i méad as cuimse, agus ghlac buíon mhór de na sagairt féin leis an gcreideamh.
8 Bhí Stiofán lán de ghrásta agus de chumhacht agus é ag déanamh éachtaí agus míorúiltí taibhseacha i measc an phobail.
9 Bhí daoine áirithe de chuid “Sionagóg na Saorfhear” mar a thugtaí uirthi – daoine ó Chuiréiné agus ó Chathair Alastair, ón tSiléis agus ón Áise, agus thosaigh siad ag argóint le Stiofán
10 ach ní raibh ar a gcumas aon cheart a bhaint dá chuid eagna ná den Spiorad lenar labhair sé.

Salm 147 (An Bíobla Naofa 1981)

12 Tabhair moladh don Tiarna, a Iarúsailéim;
tabhair moladh do do Dhia, a Shíón.
13 Óir dhaingnigh sé sparraí do dhoirse;
agus bheannaigh sé do chlann atá istigh ionat.
14 Rinne sé síocháin i do chríocha;
agus tugann do sháith de phlúr na cruithneachta duit.
15 Cuireann sé a aithne ag triall ar an talamh;
agus gluaiseann a bhriathar go lántapaidh.
16 Scaipeann sé sneachta amhail olann;
croitheann sé cuisne amhail luaithreach.
17 Leathann sé a leac oighir ina blúirí;
cé a fhéadann a fhuacht a fhulaingt?
18 Cuireann sé a bhriathar uaidh á leá;
agus a ghaoth a choscairt an tsneachta.

Psalm 147:15

Gníomhartha 6 (English Standard Version)

4 But we will devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the word.”
5 And what they said pleased the whole gathering, and they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Spirit, and Philip, and Prochorus, and Nicanor, and Timon, and Parmenas, and Nicolaus, a proselyte of Antioch.
6 These they set before the apostles, and they prayed and laid their hands on them.
7 And the word of God continued to increase, and the number of the disciples multiplied greatly in Jerusalem, and a great many of the priests became obedient to the faith.
8 And Stephen, full of grace and power, was doing great wonders and signs among the people.
9 Then some of those who belonged to the synagogue of the Freedmen (as it was called), and of the Cyrenians, and of the Alexandrians, and of those from Cilicia and Asia, rose up and disputed with Stephen.
10 But they could not withstand the wisdom and the Spirit with which he was speaking.

Salm 147 (English Standard Version)

12 Praise the Lord, O Jerusalem!
Praise your God, O Zion!
13 For he strengthens the bars of your gates;
he blesses your children within you.
14 He makes peace in your borders;
he fills you with the finest of the wheat.
15 He sends out his command to the earth;
his word runs swiftly.
16 He gives snow like wool;
he scatters hoarfrost like ashes.
17 He hurls down his crystals of ice like crumbs;
who can stand before his cold?
18 He sends out his word, and melts them;
he makes his wind blow and the waters flow.
