An Bíobla Naofa 1981

Ag Dia d’athar a chabhraíonn leat, ag Dia Uilechumhachtach a bheannaíonn thú.

Geineasas 49:25

Cé agaibh a d’fhéadfadh, trí bheith ag déanamh imní aon bhanlámh amháin a chur le fad a shaoil? Dá bhrí sin, nuair nach bhfuil neart agaibh ar an rud is lú, cad chuige daoibh bheith imníoch faoi na rudaí eile?

Lúcás 12:25-26

Geineasas 49 (An Bíobla Naofa 1981)

22 Craobh thorthúil é Iósaef,
craobh thorthúil le hais an tobair,
agus a géascaí ag síneadh thar an mballa.
23 Thug na saighdeoirí faoi le fíoch,
scaoileadar faoi le binib, agus luíodar go dian air,
24 ach bhris neach tréan a mbogha
agus scaradh cuislí a lámh ona chéile
ag láimh Neach Tréan Iacóib,
ag ainm Charraig Iosrael,
25 ag Dia d’athar a chabhraíonn leat,
ag Dia Uilechumhachtach a bheannaíonn thú,
le beannachtaí an duibheagáin a luíonn thíos,
le beannachtaí cíoch agus broinne,
26 le beannachtaí arbhair agus bláthanna,
le beannachtaí na gcnoc cianaosta,
le beannachtaí na sléibhte síoraí;
go dtaga siad anuas ar cheann Iósaef,
agus ar bhaithis an té sin a coisreacadh i measc a dheartháireacha.
27 Faolchú craosach é Biniáimin;
alpann sé a chreach ar maidin,
agus roinneann sé a sheilg tráthnóna.”
28 Sin iad go léir dhá threibh déag Iosrael; agus sin é a dúirt a n-athair leo agus é á mbeannú. Bheannaigh sé iad agus chuir beannacht chuí ar gach ceann díobh faoi leith.

Lúcás 12 (An Bíobla Naofa 1981)

22 Dúirt sé lena dheisceabail: “Sin é an fáth a n-abraim libh: ná bígí imníoch faoi bhur mbeatha i dtaobh bia, ná faoi bhur gcorp i dtaobh éadaigh.
23 Óir is mó le rá an bheatha ná an bia agus an corp ná an t-éadach.
24 Breathnaígí na fiacha dubha: ní dhéanann siad síolchur ná fómhar, níl teach stórais acu ná scioból; agus tugann Dia bia dóibh. Nach mó is fiú sibhse ná an éanlaith?
25 Cé agaibh a d’fhéadfadh, trí bheith ag déanamh imní aon bhanlámh amháin a chur le fad a shaoil?
26 Dá bhrí sin, nuair nach bhfuil neart agaibh ar an rud is lú, cad chuige daoibh bheith imníoch faoi na rudaí eile?
27 Breathnaígí na lilí mar a fhásann siad: ní dhéanann siad saothar ná sníomh. Ach deirim libh nach raibh ar Sholamh féin, dá mhéad a ghlóire, cóir éadaigh mar atá ar cheann díobh seo.
28 An lus ar an mbán a bhíonn ann inniu agus atá le caitheamh sa sorn amárach, má éadaíonn Dia mar sin é, nach móide go mór dó sibhse a éadú, a lucht an bheagán creidimh!
29 Sibhse, mar an gcéanna, ná bígí ag lorg bhur mbia ná bhur ndí, agus ná bígí do bhur gcrá féin.

English Standard Version

The God of your father will help you, the Almighty will bless you with blessings of heaven above.

Genesis 49:25

Jesus said to his disciples:

Which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life? If then you are not able to do as small a thing as that, why are you anxious about the rest?

Luke 12:25-26

Geineasas 49 (English Standard Version)

22 “Joseph is a fruitful bough,
a fruitful bough by a spring;
his branches run over the wall.
23 The archers bitterly attacked him,
shot at him, and harassed him severely,
24 yet his bow remained unmoved;
his arms were made agile
by the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob
(from there is the Shepherd, the Stone of Israel),
25 by the God of your father who will help you,
by the Almighty who will bless you
with blessings of heaven above,
blessings of the deep that crouches beneath,
blessings of the breasts and of the womb.
26 The blessings of your father
are mighty beyond the blessings of my parents,
up to the bounties of the everlasting hills.
May they be on the head of Joseph,
and on the brow of him who was set apart from his brothers.
27 “Benjamin is a ravenous wolf,
in the morning devouring the prey
and at evening dividing the spoil.”
28 All these are the twelve tribes of Israel. This is what their father said to them as he blessed them, blessing each with the blessing suitable to him.

Lúcás 12 (English Standard Version)

22 And he said to his disciples,
“Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat, nor about your body, what you will put on.
23 For life is more than food, and the body more than clothing.
24 Consider the ravens: they neither sow nor reap, they have neither storehouse nor barn, and yet God feeds them. Of how much more value are you than the birds!
25 And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life?
26 If then you are not able to do as small a thing as that, why are you anxious about the rest?
27 Consider the lilies, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
28 But if God so clothes the grass, which is alive in the field today, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, how much more will he clothe you, O you of little faith!
29 And do not seek what you are to eat and what you are to drink, nor be worried.
