12 An talamh seo a thug mé d’Abrahám agus d’Íosác, tugaim duit é; agus tabharfaidh mé an talamh seo do do shliocht i do dhiaidh.”
13 Ansin d’imigh Dia uaidh suas.
14 Chuir Iacób gallán cuimhneacháin ina sheasamh san áit inar labhair sé leis, gallán cloiche. Thoirbhir sé deoch ofrála air agus dhoirt sé ola air.

16 D’fhágadar Béitéil agus nuair a bhíodar tamall fós ó Eafrát, tháinig ionú Ráchael, agus bhí pianta diana linbh uirthi.
17 Agus sna híona crua di dúirt an bhean ghlún léi: “Ná bíodh eagla ort, mar tá mac eile anseo agat.”
18 Nuair a bhí sí ar an dé deiridh agus í ag fáil bháis, thug sí Mac Mo Dhóláis air, ach thug a athair Biniáimin air.

10 Agus dúirt aingeal an Tiarna léi chomh maith: “Cuirfidh mé an rath ar do shíol i dtreo nach bhféadfar iad a áireamh le barr líonmhaire.”
11 Agus dúirt aingeal an Tiarna léi:
“Féach, tá leanbh ar iompar agat, agus béarfaidh tú mac,
agus tabharfaidh tú Ísmeáél mar ainm air,
mar gur éist an Tiarna le do ghlór buartha.
12 Asal fiáin fir a dhéanfaidh sé,
a dhorn in aghaidh gach duine
agus dorn gach duine ina aghaidh,
agus é ag spairn lena bhráithre go léir.”
13 Thug Hágár ainm ar an Tiarna a labhair léi: “Is tú Dia na Físe,” mar ar sí, “nach áit é seo ina bhfaca-sa go dearfa chomh maith an té a fheiceann mise.”
14 Uime sin a tugadh Tobar Lachaí Roí (an Bheo a Fheiceann mé) ar an tobar; tá sé idir Cáidéis agus Báiread.
15 Rug Hágár mac d’Abrám agus thug Abrám Ísmeáél ar an mac a rug Hágár.
16 Bhí Abrám sé bliana agus ceithre fichid d’aois nuair a rug Hágár Ísmeáél d’Abrám.

Bethel means "house of God":

Jacob called the name of the place where God had spoken with him Bethel.

Genesis 35:15

Hagar called the name of the Lord who spoke to her, “You are a God of seeing.”

Genesis 16:13

Geineasas 35 (English Standard Version)

12 The land that I gave to Abraham and Isaac I will give to you, and I will give the land to your offspring after you.”
13 Then God went up from him in the place where he had spoken with him.
14 And Jacob set up a pillar in the place where he had spoken with him, a pillar of stone. He poured out a drink offering on it and poured oil on it.
15 So Jacob called the name of the place where God had spoken with him Bethel.
16 Then they journeyed from Bethel. When they were still some distance from Ephrath, Rachel went into labor, and she had hard labor.
17 And when her labor was at its hardest, the midwife said to her, “Do not fear, for you have another son.”
18 And as her soul was departing (for she was dying), she called his name Ben-oni; but his father called him Benjamin.

Geineasas 16 (English Standard Version)

10 The angel of the Lord also said to her, “I will surely multiply your offspring so that they cannot be numbered for multitude.”
11 And the angel of the Lord said to her,
“Behold, you are pregnant
and shall bear a son.
You shall call his name Ishmael,
because the Lord has listened to your affliction.
12 He shall be a wild donkey of a man,
his hand against everyone
and everyone's hand against him,
and he shall dwell over against all his kinsmen.”
13 So she called the name of the Lord who spoke to her, “You are a God of seeing,” for she said, “Truly here I have seen him who looks after me.”
14 Therefore the well was called Beer-lahai-roi; it lies between Kadesh and Bered.
15 And Hagar bore Abram a son, and Abram called the name of his son, whom Hagar bore, Ishmael.
16 Abram was eighty-six years old when Hagar bore Ishmael to Abram.
